Joost

I got a beta key for Joost this morning (huzzah!) and so I've been having a play around with it today.
I have to say, it's impressive - shows stream incredibly quickly, and at a decent quality, too.
The big no-no, however, is the way it launches full screen, grabbing your attention away from everything else. For me, one of the reasons I like video at my PC is because I can have it on while I'm surfing the web or answering email - I don't want something hauling me off to a full screen UI just because it's more TV like. But that's just me.
This thing clearly has a lot of potential - I'm hearing of more and more small content deals being done to get decent stuff up on Joost for launch day. If YouTube is the repository for short clips, Joost could easily become the destination for TV.
Yes, I know there's no real insight in this post. I'm being deliberately vague. Stay tuned.

it doesn't have to be full screen if you double click it shrinks and you can resize it to whatever you want.
